We are very excited to continue the tradition of our Games. While the 39th Maccabi Games will be vastly different this year, the magical and exciting experience the Games have come to represent remains the same.

Sponsorship opportunities

Since its inception in 1982, MARJCC has had the opportunity of bringing our community together to share in an intergenerational experience–the Hebraica Maccabi Games. A week-long Olympic-style sporting competition, the Maccabi Games historically features over 700 competitive games in 13 different sports. Presenting the second-largest organized sports program for Jewish teenagers in the world is a substantial and inspiring mission; however, registration fees do not begin to cover the full costs associated with producing an event of this magnitude. To achieve our mission, the Hebraica Maccabi Games must generate revenue through sponsorships that can be customized to meet all needs and budgets.

  • Adult males and females play in a team format. Each country will form a minimum of one team (one male + one female) and compete in one singles match and one mixed doubles match—round-robin format. Winners advance based on wins and losses. Rocket League is for participants in Grade 3 to adult. The game is available on all gaming platforms and only played on Sunday, November 29, at 4  p.m. A vehicular soccer video game, Rocket League is described as “soccer, but with rocket-powered cars.” Rocket League involves two teams that use rocket-powered vehicles to hit a ball into their opponent’s goal and score points throughout a match. For the official tournament, the game will be played 1v1. Consolation matches may be offered at the end of the tournament in a 2v2 or 3v3 format.

Kayak Race

  • The race takes place at Oleta River State Park.

  • Participants follow and complete a course.

  • Each country forms a minimum of one team—two participants per kayak.

  • Each team’s time will be calculated separately per kayak.

  • Medals awarded to 1st and 2nd place kayaks with the fastest time.

Wakeboarding Competition

Safety and behavior:

  • All participants must wear a life jacket and helmet.
  • All contestants should sign a waiver provided by the Sports Complex.
  • Unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated and is defined as:
    • Any conduct that can cause danger to anyone on the tournament site
    • Any conduct causing damage to the site
    • Any profanity used by a wakeboarder
    • Any infractions by a participant can be punishable by disqualification
  • ONLY participants and judges will be allowed on the dock.
  • COVID-19 rules and regulations to be identified at the time of the event.

Competition and Format:

The first round is pre-qualification and consists of two laps of combinations, and then participants assigned to one of the following categories:

  • Beginner – those participants competing on the easiest course
  • Intermediate
  • Advanced

*Participants can pre-register in any category prior to completing the pre-qualifying round. The pre-qualifying round must be completed two weeks before the competition.

Virtual Race

Participants will race (walk/run, bike/cycle/spin, swim) “around Israel” along a predetermined route (the course) for a total distance of 731.0 miles (the goal that can be exceeded).

Participants must join our Maccabi Games Group Mission by clicking the JOIN button on:

Participants will select a team—the country they would like to represent–to be approved by tournament staff within 1-3 business days of account creation.

Each participant is responsible for logging their distance in MyVirtualMission and connecting the platform with technology that will record your information, including Strava, Map My Ride, Apple Health, Fitbit, Runkeeper, and  Underarmour Connected

This 11-day race will be LIVE from Thursday, November 19, at 1:00 a.m. toSunday, November 29, at noon. Athletes are encouraged to accumulate as much distance as possible within that period.

There is NO MINIMUM per sport per person.

Each team can have a maximum of 20 participants. Once a team has more than 20 participants, the team shall be divided into two.

The race will be measured in biking distances. As such, multipliers will be applied so that the different forms of exercise are weighted equivalently:

  • Biking/Cycling: 1 mile = 1 biking mile
  • Walking/Running: 1 mile = 4 biking miles
  • Swimming: 1 mile = 20 biking miles
